Very advisable it is the route Alcudia/Formentor, with unavoidable stop in the viewing-point of Es Colomer and Formentor's beach, the visit to the city and Alcudia's wall, the remains of Pollentia's Roman city, without stopping contemplating the concentration of the interior villages in the route. In the north zone, the jewel is Valldemossa, with The Carthusian Monastery, its paved and adorned streets and the spectacular road of the north coast, which runs between wonderful mountains, incredible views of the sea and traditional Majorcan houses, with very much centuries of antiquity.
The Majorcan gastronomy breathes each and every of its historical influences, turning out to be the only and exceptional Mediterranean cooking. Dishes as the 'tumbet', ' arròs brut ', the lamb, the 'escaldums'; sausages like the 'sobrassada', the 'botifarrons' and the famous 'pa amb oli ' will do the delights of the visitor. In confectionary, the ‘ensaimada’ is the queen (plain, sweet pumpkin or cream) between princesses, as the 'amargs' and the 'rubiol'. Finally, the traditional liquor of Majorca, the 'Herbes' (also sweets, mixed or dry) will complete a banquet as varied as difficult to forget.
